Personal Biography
I am a mom of 4 adult children. I have 4 grandchildren and I am retired after 20 yrs. from the field of Diagnostic Imaging.

In 2000 I received my A.S. Degree from NHTI in Radiologic Technology with a GPA of 3.8. I currently hold licensure in MRI, X-Ray, and Mammography.

Along with that I am a licensed NH Realtor, currently working with Coldwell Banker in Gilford NH. Prior to attending NHTI I worked for myself cleaning houses. This afforded me a flexible schedule so I could be involved with my children's activities. The added benefit of the flexible schedule was that I could continue working full time while pursuing my education.

Before I started cleaning homes, I worked as an animal health technician for 16 yrs at a local animal hospital. It was there I learned about the science of medicine. I was fortunate to be able to experience all aspects of health care, from office visit protocols and ethics to running lab tests to starting IV's. While working in the human health care field, I increased my knowledge by helping in as many departments as possible. This afforded me the opportunity to gain some understanding of the insurance end of medicine i.e... coding, diagnosis, and medical orders.

I live in Meredith NH with my husband in a 150-yr old farmhouse. We raise our own food (beef, pork, chicken and bees for honey), along with our large vegetable garden that we share with our neighbors and family. We put up as much from our garden as we can to help get us through the winter.
Local Government Involvement
This is my first time running for office of any kind. Other than voting since I was 18, I have had no political involvement.
Miscellaneous Information:
I believe that my vast experience in the health care field gives me a unique perspective that would benefit the HHS committee. I also believe that my experience in agriculture and the environment would be a benefit to being on the Environment and Agriculture Committee. That being said, I am more than willing to work on, and research for, any committee I am placed on. I am eager to meet new colleagues and to learn as much as I possibly can.
