It shall be the duty of the Committee on Judiciary to consider all matters relating to the judicial system, right-to-know law, guardianships, life and death (such as abortion or assisted death), landlord/tenant rights, civil proceedings, tort law, forfeiture, immunity, and probate; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
Grew up in Fairfield, then Milford CT. Attended Notre Dame High School, West Haven, CT. Enlisted in US Army Transp. Corps 1964 with 729th Railroad Battalion. Married Claire Lois Fontaine in 1968, raised 3 sons, Ralph, Patrick and Gregory in Barryville, NY. Worked on New Haven RR and then Erie Lackawanna RR as Station Agent and then RR Police. Moved to Claremont, NH in 1983, as General Manager of Claremont and Concord Railroad. Started a railroad consulting business in 1986 and also became a licensed commercial insurance broker in 2001. Retired in 2017.
Local Government Involvement
Candidate for NH House of Representatives for Sullivan District 10 in 2016, defeated, but was elected a Republican Convention Delegate in 2016. Helped update the state Republican platform to protect the personhood of preborn life in the womb and uphold traditional man-woman marriage. Successfully ran for NH House Rep. Sullivan District 5 (Claremont Ward 3) in 2018, serving first term 2019-2020. Re-elected to same seat for 2021-2022. Member of Claremont City Amtrak Passenger Ad Hoc Committee 2017 and helped create the Station Host Association of Claremont to meet Amtrak trains , help and greet passengers and promote our local rail station for increased ridership! Frequent public attendance at Claremont City Council and public contributor to the Claremont Policy Committee to protect the continued presence of religious Christmas icons in holiday season public displays compliant with SCOTUS decisions.
Miscellaneous Information:
Claire and I are long time members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Claremont and I am the Financial Secretary and Culture of Life Director of local Knights of Columbus Council 1820, and also serve the K of C Fourth Degree Assembly 635 as its Faithful Scribe. Am a lifetime member of American Legion Claremont Post 29. Also, the past Executive Director of East Africa Charitable Projects Fund, a 501c3 in New London NH, which financially aided the poor of East Africa. We enjoy family, travel, gardening, motorcycle, bicycling, canoe/fishing, trail hiking and hunting!
