Personal Biography

New Hampshire native and University of NH graduate with a BA in History. Also holds an MS in Mass Communications from Boston University and an MFA in non-fiction writing from Southern NH University. Retired after 38 years of Federal service (31 years of active duty with the Army and 7 years as a Department of the Army civilian). Married with one adult son who also lives in NH. For the past 15 years has written a monthly magazine column for "The Maine Sportsman," and currently serves as president of the New England Outdoor Writers Association.
Local Government Involvement

Served four years as a conservation commissioner in the town of Brunswick, Maine.

Served Pittsfield, NH three years as a library trustee, and five years on the Board of Selectmen, four as chair.
