It shall be the duty of the Committee on Finance to examine and consider the state of the treasury and the budget; subjects concerning the financial interest of the state; all measures carrying appropriations of state money except claims against the state and such other matters as may be referred to it. Prior to the report of the Finance Committee to the House, the Speaker may refer the budget of certain self-sustaining state agencies to appropriate committees for study and recommendation.

Personal Biography
My career has been in health care management to include over 33 years as U.S Army Medical Services Corps officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2009. Led troop units in the 7th and 1st Infantry Divisions, served as a Comptroller in the 18th Medical Command in Korea, served as the Deputy Program Manager for the DOD Telemedicine Testbed, and established the Consolidated Fielding Center as Senior Mentor to the Afghanistan National Army.

Worked as a Project/Product Manager for multiple Medical Device Manufacturers. Expertise includes healthcare, IT, privacy, project management, medical device product management, telemedicine, budgeting and manpower management.
