CHAPTER 170-A INTERSTATE COMPACT ON THE PLACEMENT OF CHILDREN

170-A:1-a Placement of a Child with a Parent. –
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the placement of a child with a parent, provided that:
I. The parent proves, to the satisfaction of a court, a substantial relationship with the child; and
II. The court makes a written finding that placement with the parent is in the best interests of the child.
