CHAPTER 611-B OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MEDICAL EXAMINER
Section 611-B:24
611-B:24 Release of Body. –
The medical examiner, upon the completion of the investigation, shall release the dead body, upon their claim therefor, to one of the following persons:
I. The husband or wife, as the case may be.
II. The next of kin.
III. Any friend of the deceased.
