STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand
AN ACT relative to testing newborns for deafness.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
131:1 Standards for Testing Newborns for Deafness; Report Required. The commissioner of the department of health and human services shall develop standards for testing newborns for deafness, including, but not limited to types of equipment, qualifications of heath care providers who perform the test, and follow-up programs. The commissioner shall submit a report with recommendations to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, and the governor on or before November 1, 2000.
131:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
