Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs to consider all matters pertaining to the National Guard and other military or veterans’ organizations within the state, potential actions by the U.S. Congress which will have a major impact on the state and the New England region, and all proposed resolutions petitioning the Congress on any matter; to maintain communication with the congressional delegation; to serve as a liaison between the New Hampshire House and the United States Congress; emergency management; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
I am a Professor and Chair of Psychology at Keene State College in Keene, NH. I have been the recipient of federal grant funding through NIH/INBRE to study language problems in Autism and related developmental problems. Prior to moving to New Hampshire I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hawaii(1985) and was the Clinical Director of Behavioral Medicine at Columbia University Medical School in New York. In addition to teaching I work as a lead contact tracer for the Keene State College Covid Rapid Response Team and I am interested in public health initiatives. I have a daughter, Annika, who grew up in the Keene area who now lives in Telluride, Colorado. I am a long distance runner and believe strongly in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Local Government Involvement
I am a founding member of both the Keene Immigration and Refugee Project (KIRP) and Project Home which supports creating a welcoming environment for individuals arriving from other lands. KIRP has successfully moved declarations and policy to the city of Keene.
