Personal Biography
Carry Spier was born in the Bronx, NY, the oldest of 5 children. Her father was a shop teacher (no degree was required at the time), and her mother was a homemaker. As first-generation Americans, they felt the most important thing they could provide to their children is a good education. All 5 finished public school and gone on to college and graduate school.

Most of Carry's 53-year career has been in Military Aerospace as a systems engineer and systems engineering manager working on projects from Apollo to F-35 across an extensive array of technologies in the US, Canada, Japan and the UK.

About 20 years ago, Carry became very concerned with the effects of global warming on animals. She began filming endangered birds and large mammals across the planet at times working with National Geographic. She has taken her cameras to Tibet, Antarctica, Russia, China, Southeast Asia, the Amazon, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, northern Canada, Svalbard, Madagascar, Borneo, Australia, the Middle East and other places. She has seen firsthand the fragility of the planet facing global warming as represented by the loss of animal life, the loss of potable water, and the resulting effects that are happening around the world and now right in front of us.
Local Government Involvement
Carry has worked on campaigns for candidates in Nashua who support her ideas about clean energy, education and the environment. She has made presentations and spoken at meetings of the Planning Board and the Board of Aldermen.
Miscellaneous Information:
Carry is married to Danny Mills for 34 years, living in Nashua for the past 25. She worked at BAE Systems (formerly Sanders) for 23 years until her retirement.
