It shall be the duty of the Committee on Children and Family Law to consider matters relating to children and youth, their rights, obligations, and protection, including all matters covered by RSA 169 B, 169 C, and 169 D, divorce custody and child support; the application of criminal laws and sentencing to children and such other matters as may be referred to it.
Personal Biography
I am a family man, physician, painter and writer. I'm a graduate of Wesleyan University, Albany Medical College, and the University of Pennsylvania Department of Psychiatry. I've been a licensed physician since 1974, first as a family doc in the coal fields of southeastern Kentucky, in the National Health Service Corps, then as an adult and child psychiatrist in Philadelphia and Conord NH, and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, working at New Hampshire Hospital and the Secure Psychiatric Unit at the NH State Prison.
Miscellaneous Information:
I presently serve as the Governor's appointee to the NH Board of Medicine, Medical Review Sub-committee, and provide psychiatric consulatation to the probate courts.

I have served on a number of public policy committees including the Leadership Advisory Board of the NH Citizen's Health Initiative, the Governor's Taskforce on Health Information Exchange, and the Endowment for Health Integrated Care Advisory Committee.

I have been a member of the Advisory Board to UNH Museum of Art.
