Personal Biography
Connie has lived in Concord for 32 years, raising two sons, practicing law, and devoting time to her community in the schools, her church, political campaigns, and on numerous nonprofit boards. She is an attorney with the law firm of Orr and Reno in Concord, concentrating on business, real estate, and nonprofit law. Prior to that, she was legal aid attorney for 10 years, serving as the founding executive director of Legal Advice and Referral Center, which works with NH Legal Assistance to address affordable housing since 1987, working with the NH Community Loan Fund to expand manufactured housing co-ops throughout NH. She was one of the founders of CATCH Neighborhood Housing, a local affordable housing non-profit, and served on its Board of Directors for two terms. She currently sits on the Board of New Hampshire Finance Authority, which promotes finances, and supports affordable housing for NH residents. Connie has been on the board of trustees for the Red River Theatres for 6 years, with 2 of those as Chair. As secretary of the board of Concord Trust for the Enhancement of Public Education, she participated in the awarding of grants to teachers who wanted to introduce innovations into their classrooms.
