NOTICES

The Internal Revenue Service has set the standard mileage rate for transportation expenses for 2009 at fifty-five cents ($0.55) per mile.  The federal mileage reimbursement rate for members of the NH Senate decreases from fifty-eight and one-half cents ($0.585) per mile to fifty-five cents ($0.55) per mile for all miles incurred on or after January 1, 2009.

LEGISLATIVE ETHICS COMMITTEE

Required Disclosure Filings

Copies of two financial disclosure forms have recently been mailed to each member of the Senate.  The first form is the annual "Financial Disclosure Form," which all legislators and legislative officers are required to complete and file with the Legislative Ethics Committee.  Please return your completed form to Rich Lambert in Room 112 of the State House no later than January 30, 2009.

 

            The second form, the "New Hampshire Statement of Financial Interests," was due on January 16th.  If you have not already filed that form with the Secretary of State's Office in Room 204 of the State House, you are encouraged to do so immediately.

The second annual Public Charter School Chili Contest will be held Thursday, February 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Church in Concord. Warm up with a tasting of chili prepared by charter school parents and vote for your favorite. National speakers will include former Colorado State Senator Ron Tupa from Democrats for Education Reform and Todd Ziebarth, Vice President for Policy for the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools to talk about the success of charter schools nationally and to answer questions. The event is an excellent chance for schools to showcase themselves and their school's mission.
