The Children's Alliance of New Hampshire, in partnership with the NH Child Advocacy Network (NHCAN), will convene a Children's Summit December 8 to examine ways the New Hampshire state budget can support children and families in the state, even in this time of economic struggle. Participants will hear from guest speakers knowledgeable in state budgeting and children's issues, plus determine the 2009 NH Priorities for Children.  The Summit will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Concord. All legislators are invited to attend one in a series of manufacturing plant tours hosted by the Business & Industry Association and the NH Department of Resources and Economic Development.  These events are designed to familiarize legislators with the important role that manufacturing plays in the New Hampshire economy.  Legislators will have the opportunity to discuss economic issues with some of our state’s top employers and receive current information on the state and national economy from recognized economists.
